What comes in, and what we do to it.

Most of it is a branded bag someone has carried for years and does not want to replace. We quote per item, after we have seen it.

  1. 01

    Cleaning and conditioning

For leather, suede and canvas. The dirt comes out and the hide goes back into condition rather than being left dry.

  2. 02

    Recolouring and edge painting

Where the finish has worn — panels brought back to an even colour, and the worn edges of straps and flaps painted again.

  3. 03

    Zip, clasp and hardware replacement

A zip that has failed, a clasp that no longer holds, feet and rings that have gone. Replaced so the bag closes and carries properly.

  4. 04

    Lining replacement and interior repair

A torn or sticky lining taken out and replaced, and the pockets and seams inside put right at the same time.

  5. 05

    Corner and handle rebuild

The two places a carried bag goes first. Corners rebuilt, handles remade, and the shape of the bag held.

You see every stage. In photographs.

We send photo updates at every stage so you can see exactly what we are doing to your bag. Not a status line — the actual picture of the actual work, while your item is on the bench.
